Welcome to our 31st year of offering the finest outdoor experience possible on the American River. In 1977 EarthTrek Expeditions opened its doors for the first time as an adventure travel agency offering a full array of worldwide expeditions, treks and adventures. Whitewater rafting immediately became our most popular and favorite activity so we decided to make this our specialty. From those roots we have grown to become one of the largest and most respected outfitters on the American River. Over the years we have had many opportunities to expand our operations to other rivers but we decided to put all our efforts into making our trips on the American River the very best possible.

We are one of only a few raft companies in California to own their own campground enabling us to continually improve our facility to maximize your enjoyment during your stay with us. Our guides are the best in the world. In fact, many of our guides come from the far corners of the globe, such as New Zealand, Australia, Nepal, Mexico and Costa Rica. Hungry rafters will not be disappointed as our guides are also expert chefs, preparing meals that will satisfy any appetite.

EarthTrek only operates rafting trips on the South Fork American, Middle Fork American and North Fork American Rivers. Our state-of-the-art rafting equipment is top notch. All of our equipment, from our rafts to our vans, are in excellent operating condition. We utilize modern state-of-the-art Hyside rafts on all of our trips. Our coast guard approved like jackets are especially designed for commercial whitewater use. We provide helmets for your safety on Class IV rivers. On every trip we carry first aid kits, emergency gear and repair items and all of our guides are certified in first aid by the American Red Cross.
