Payments
Cancellations In order for us to plan for your river trip we encounter costs well in advance of the trip date which are not refundable to us if participants cancel their confirmed reservations. If you cancel less than 30 days before the trip date we cannot refund your payment. You may find someone else to take your place for no extra charge or penalty as long as you notify us in advance of trip date. Please make everyone in your group aware of our policy before collecting money. Our policy for cancellations is as follows. If EarthTrek Expeditions cancels your trip we will refund to you all payment made to us. Please make sure that you, and everyone in your party understands our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Also understand that when a reservation is made with EarthTrek Expeditions it is a commitment for us to hold space for you and possibly turn others away from that particular trip date. If you decide to cancel, it can be difficult for us to rebook a trip, especially cancellations close to the departure date. With this in mind the following cancellation/refund policy must be strictly adhered to.
Participant Responsibility Participants must realize that there are certain risks involved with any outdoor activity such as whitewater rafting. These risks include but are not limited to loss of personal property, bodily injury and death. You will be required to sign an assumption of risk form and liability release form before you embark on your trip. It is the responsibility of the person reserving or organizing a group to make sure that everyone is given a copy of all information provided by EarthTrek Expeditions, Inc. concerning any river trip with EarthTrek Expeditions, Inc. This includes but is not limited to trip information, cancellation policy, liability information and physical requirements for participation on your selected trip. EarthTrek Expeditions, Inc. reserves the right to refuse service to any participant or group which arrives for a trip improperly prepared, physically unfit, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, without required experience (where applicable), or for any reason that poses a threat to the safety or well being of our staff and other guests. In such cases no refunds or credits will be given. El Dorado County Notice The South Fork of the American River in its natural state would not have sufficient flows during the summer to support rafting or other floating activities as they are known today. Adequate flows for rafting result from hydroelectric releases from facilities located at Chili Bar and above. These releases are made for power generation and are not subject to the control of El Dorado County or commercial rafting companies operating under permits from El Dorado County. EarthTrek Expeditions, Inc. is a member of America Outdoors Association
